BUSINESS ANALYST PROFESSIONAL
Professional Business Analyst takes responsibility of complex, high profile projects. While the business analyst activities are closely resemble those of a high and mid-level business analyst, the responsibilities are much greater because of the nature of the projects themselves.
Project complexity can take various forms based on the requirement. Multiple, systems integration create complexity in project because new requirements need to be traced through the inter-related systems. Multiple stakeholders across several departments create complexity because of the number of perspectives that need to be blended into the final solution. Team make-up can also create complexity because when you blend resources from multiple organizations to implement a project, communication becomes more complex.
In our professional BA there is a lot of discussion about what role makes a business analyst a professional business analyst. To help better delineate between the levels of BAs the IIBA® has recently released a business analysis competency model which includes five levels of business analysts.
